We are looking for a talented Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the school year.
Responsibilities would include :
- Provide speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Work with students in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings to support speech and language development.
- Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans.
- Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication skills.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and technology to facilitate student communication.
- Reinforce speech-language strategies and interventions developed by the supervising SLP.
- Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and therapists to support students' communication needs.
- Provide classroom-based support by integrating speech and language interventions into daily learning activities.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP, teachers, and parents regarding student progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and therapy sessions as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Follow all confidentiality and ethical guidelines related to student records and communication.
