DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provides our students with specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his / her disability such as : a resource room, inclusion, and / or pullout services.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students, ensuring tailored instruction and support to meet specific learning goals.
Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and challenges, and use data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
Instructional Planning : Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of students, incorporating various teaching methods and resources.
Classroom Management : Establish a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes student engagement, safety, and respect.
Collaboration : Work collaboratively with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to create an inclusive educational experience and facilitate accommodations.
Parent Communication : Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and involving them in the educational process.
Behavioral Support : Implement and monitor behavioral interventions and strategies to support students’ social and emotional development.
Professional Development : Participate in ongoing professional learning to stay current with best practices and legal requirements in special education.
