Position Overview:
The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute IEPs in collaboration with parents, support staff, and administrators.
- Provide differentiated instruction and support to address a variety of learning needs.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Current Texas Special Education Teaching Certification required.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education laws.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with assistive technologies and classroom adaptations is a plus.

Salary: $64,000 - $73,685 per year (based on experience and qualifications).
