Are you looking to learn new skills? Do you like working with your hands? Schoolhouse is a privately held local company which designs and builds lighting and clocks, and we are looking to add a Metal Finisher to our team. With our on the job training, you will learn various skills such as buffing, sand blasting, and the ability to move on to painting for more advanced workers.

Our inclusive culture will welcome you as you learn and work with one of our experienced staff members. Once you have succeeded in learning the basics of Core Skills within your first 90 days, you will begin progressing through various skills and tasks. The position involves accuracy and efficiency so that we can provide the quality products our customers expect.

This production position does require standing for extended periods and you will use a variety of moderate to heavy machinery. We are looking for someone who can work from 6:00am until 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, who is open to working overtime as needed, has a history of good attendance, is comfortable communicating and working with others in a diverse team, has basic math and reading proficiency, can accurately read a ruler to 1/8 increments and can read and understand written SOPs.

Starting wage is $17.00 an hour with several reviews within the first year. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, company paid life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability and 401(k).
