What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility and Floor Tech position at Schooner Estates Senior Living Community?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Clean and maintain the facility and grounds in a way that keeps it safe, functional and sanitary for Tenants, staff and the public. Assists with general maintenance activities. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language. Must hold a valid and clean driving license.
- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Empty all trash each morning and take to the dumpster.
- Ensures entrances are clean and free of debris and obstructions.
- Replenishes and cleans water coolers.
- Ensures the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., maintains work areas in a safe, clean and attractive manner.
- Set up and tear down for activities and events.
- Schedule and maintain floor care, sweeping, washing, waxing, vacuum, and shampoo. This also includes upholstery.
- Moves furnishings, equipment and assists as needed to help families/Tenants during internal or external moves.
- Ensures the grounds of the facility campus safe, sanitary and presentable, free of litter.
- Keep walkways free of ice and snow in the winter months with the use of snow removal equipment such as snow blowers and shovels. Treats walking surfaces with salts and sand to maintain a constantly safe walking surface.
- Completes all Utility Maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the wearing and use of appropriate and required safety gear and/or equipment such as eye protection etc..
- Attend and participate in all required in-service programs and mandatory meetings.
- Report all incidents, accidents and fill out proper reports.
- Model excellent customer service at all times.
