The Project Superintendent is responsible for the complete oversight of all field operations from mobilization to punch list including: jobsite safety program, vendor coordination, direction and supervision of all subcontractors/vendor activities. Responsible for keeping the project compliant with all regards to safety, quality, schedule, and communication with our clients, subcontractors and vendors. Our client relationships are very important to us; therefore, professionalism and excellent communication skills are critical.
5 years commercial construction experience. Coordinate, direct and monitor the subcontractors and suppliers. Must be able to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents. Must have organizational and multi-tasking skills along with excellent verbal and written / email communication skills.
Required Skills:
· Extensive / proven knowledge of general commercial construction project processes
· Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse workforce of subcontractors
· Strong jobsite problem solving skills and the ability to make well thought out decisions
· Communication skills and the ability to communicate with the Schorn project team, vendors, and clients via email.
· Strong construction drawing reading skills
· Experience in managing commercial construction work including: sitework, concrete foundations, structural steel, masonry, carpentry with metal stud framing, electrical, plumbing, hvac, fire sprinkler, roofing, commercial floor / wall / ceiling finishes
· Ability to use a transit to check grades
· Ability to perform or check wall layout against the construction drawings
· Ability to conceptually think about the construction project and identify potential conflicts between MEPs and architectural systems
· Ability to follow and manage a construction schedule
· Ability to keep a detailed daily log of jobsite activities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
