Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea and BenMaier, PLLC is seeking a professional, organized, reliable paralegal to support our Defense Base Act (DBA) team. The ideal candidate must have excellent research and writing skills, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment, think creatively and work independently. This position will be fully onsite!
Responsibilities include-but are not limited to :
- Looking for a settlement paralegal that can do initial drafts of settlement documents in DBA claims and see claims through the settlement process
- Obtain, review and analyze documents or any other relevant information
- Review and summarize medical records
- Prepare for trial by preparing trail notebooks, exhibits and witness files
- Compile evidence and supporting information by searching records, discovery documents, transcripts, libraries and databases
- Generate status reports, logs and indexes
- Maintain acceptable minimum monthly billable hours
