Job Description:
As part of our growth, we are looking for a passionate, dedicated Sales Associate to work out of our Mason, MI location with knowledge of automobile and light truck parts for the automotive industry. This team member will be responsible for selling company products by answering inbound customer inquiries and responding with outbound phone and electronic communication, as needed. Outbound sales contact is primarily to existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their queries, assess their parts needs and generate revenue by promoting sales of new and existing products
- Respond to customer’s parts and pricing requests timely
- Developing customer relationships by attentively listening to their parts needs and fulfilling their requirements timely and in respectful manner
- Following Schram’s written policies and practices at all times, including rules
- Ask questions and provide relevant information to the customers to fulfill their needs
- Follow up on orders which the customer makes ensuring customer satisfaction
- Provide quotes for future orders as requested
- Participate in sales related professional sales development
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to accomplish group related tasks and responsibilities necessary to achieve organizational goals
- Maintain a current knowledge base of automobile parts, product inventory and its functionality
- Communicate effectively with the customers regarding any relevant procedures and policies which might be beneficial to them
- Research and communicate with vendors to broker parts as needed to meet the customer’s requirements
- Hybrid work as authorized, if applicable;
- Other tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must enjoy and excel in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Planning, organization and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Zoom and internet navigation skills
- Candidate must become proficient in managing multiple customer inquiries at various times
