Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service/Office Assistant to join our dynamic team at our family owned century old farm in the Willamette Valley. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers, and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, have the ability to multi task, and the ability to assist with customer calls and emails as well as offer any support needed to office personnel.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Provide accurate information regarding our plants and other products, addressing any concerns or issues.
- Process customer orders efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions in Shopify.
- Conduct outbound calling as needed to follow up on customer inquiries
- Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and customer service while communicating with customers.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall customer experience.
- Perform various clerical tasks to support smooth operation of the office.
- Provide clerical and data entry support to office personnel.
Experience
- 2 years of previous experience in a customer service role is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using office software and computerized systems for data entry and record keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to handle payment transactions accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- The candidate for this position must be available to work Monday-Friday, March through through August. 40 hours will be required during our peak season May through August. March and April hours will vary based on the need. Also must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays in the month of May.
