Position Overview:
Schreiner University is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Vocational Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor to join our Vocational Nursing Program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong clinical background in nursing, with the ability to provide hands-on instruction and support to nursing students during their clinical rotations. This position plays a critical role in preparing the next generation of skilled nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision to vocational nursing students in a variety of healthcare settings, ensuring that students meet all required competencies and standards.
- Assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with faculty and clinical staff to ensure a high-quality clinical experience for students.
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices, policies, and procedures to ensure that students are learning up-to-date techniques.
- Participate in departmental meetings and engage in ongoing professional development activities.
- Comply with institutional policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered nursing license in the state of Texas.
- A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Previous teaching experience in a clinical or educational environment preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Ability to evaluate and mentor students effectively, fostering a supportive and educational clinical learning environment.
