Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication of architectural metal work and metal components according to specifications.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
- Measure and cut materials accurately using basic math skills and tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a shop environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in using power tools, and other shop machinery.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
