Who We’re Looking For
Benchmark Capital is seeking an Executive Assistant for 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Group Head of Technology & Change, the Client Director, and the Head of Product. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for various stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.

The Base
You will be based at our Schroders Business Campus, located near Horsham in West Sussex. Our campus, known for its high standards and international reputation, offers a unique working environment outside the city. With state-of-the-art software and hardware, alongside generous campus facilities such as an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, and gym, we provide a vibrant workplace. Commuters can enjoy our dedicated shuttle bus service to and from Horsham’s mainline train station.
What You’ll Do
Make travel and accommodation arrangements, both UK and international.
Manage extensive diaries.
Screen emails to facilitate the timely handling of key issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact within the business and with clients, key contacts at Schroders, and external parties.
Ensure the timely and accurate flow of information, keeping the executive apprised of broader priorities and issues.
Assist in submitting expenses, tracking business mileage, and managing credit card transactions.
Format communications, including memos, emails, presentations, and reports.
Provide broader management support across teams, focusing on diary assistance for direct reports when necessary.
Coordinate internal and external events, managing guest lists, locations, and catering.
Prepare and organise internal meetings, including setting agendas, taking notes, and following up on actions.
Occasionally support Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members without specific EA cover, including meeting requests and travel bookings.
Provide holiday cover for the Executive Assistant team as required.
Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant role.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
Excellent communication skills with high standards of literacy.
Proactive problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
