Duties
- Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including pastries, bread and cookies.
- Work in a busy breakfast and lunch environment as short-order cook.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality in all products.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking areas.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
- Help with inventory management by tracking ingredient supplies and notifying supervisors when stock is low.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with customer inquiries and special orders.
- Support catering events as needed by preparing items for delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery or food preparation environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor for customer interactions.
- Experience with pastry making or catering is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
