Position Summary:
It is the responsibility of the Manufacturing Technician to support the various functions within the shop area including assembly, sub-assembly, rotomold trimming and assembly, parts washing and material handling. This position is cross-functional and cross-training is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Knows and fills in for or supports any of the various hourly positions using general skills in assembly, sub-assembly, washing, Rotomold trim and assembly, shipping/receiving, and storeroom.
Uses various hand-tools, power-tools (such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver, and electric drill) taps, and glues for assembling, wiring cleaning, rustproofing, and handling filters and components.
Assembles and tests manufactured products.
Pulls required material necessary to assemble sub-assembly filters according to the Bill of Materials.
Assembles all types of filter-related sub-assemblies to manufacturing specifications using the work instructions, work orders, sketches, Engineering drawings and instructions.
Inspects final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications.
Stocks supplies, maintains accurate counts, pulls, and delivers parts and finished goods to support production and shipment schedules.
Unloads and receives all deliveries, verifies condition and places in appropriate area, as well as completes related paperwork, records, and miscellaneous deliveries.
Prepares and packs products for shipment using appropriate materials.
Prepares necessary documents and paperwork for shipments.
Load, unload, operate and perform daily maintenance on automatic parts washer.
Cross trains on different job tasks within the department.
Overtime is required as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to multi-task.
Use basic hand and power tools.
Work alone or on a team.
