Pay range : $22.00 $30.00 per hour.
Schroeder Moving Systems is seeking full and part-time CDL drivers for our local, regional and long-distance fleets.
Position Summary
This is a full touch driving position. The driver is responsible for driving the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner from warehouse to job site where the driver acts as crew leader and head mover in the loading and unloading of household goods or as needed for special products delivery and pickup. The driver works hand-in-hand with our customers to provide professional services. Our goal is to make the physical relocation of our customers' goods the easiest part of their move and / or shipping.
Essential Job Functions
Operates all vehicles and equipment safely, i.e. tractor-trailer, straight truck and forklift.
Oversees and assists with packing / unpacking, moving, and loading / unloading of items to / from vehicle at the move site and / or loading area.
Prepares and maintains all required paperwork associated with moves and shipments including driver logs, pre-trip inspection reports, freight bills, inventories, and accessorial documentation.
Provides leadership to crew at job sites.
Accountable for material and equipment.
Cleans and inspects trucks, tools, and equipment according to company standards.
As the crew leader, provide positive energy, enthusiasm and excellent customer service.
Safely pack, load, move, unload and unpack customers household belongings damage free.
Qualification Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
Excellent Driving Record.
Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills.
Dependable and Reliable.
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance procedures.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS :
Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to both co-workers and customers.
Ability to listen and take instructions with regards to customer service.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using both whole numbers and decimal points.
REASONING SKILLS :
Solve everyday problems, always looking for the best right answer.
Physical Demands and Abilities
Dexterity to handle small, fragile items as well as frequently lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.; may be required to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending on the season.
General Requirements & Expectations :
Execution and adherence to UniGroup agency compliance and policy guidelines.
All employees must pass a background check upon being hired.
All employees are subject to a drug test upon being hired.
All employees will be put into our random drug testing program during their tenure at Schroeder Moving Systems.

ARE YOU WHAT WE ARE SEEKING?
Need to have the strength and stamina to repeatedly lift and move at least 75 lbs. throughout each day.
Good work ethic and a positive, professional attitude.
High-school diploma or GED.
Communication skills to engage professionally both verbally and in-writing in English.
Minimum of 21 years old.
Valid WI driver's license and a good driving record.
Previous experience as a non-CDL and / or CDL driver or in the moving industry is a plus!
