The Builder serves as the primary quality control project manager for the systemized five-phase build process. This position oversees and manages the daily construction management activities relevant to the assigned phase.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Delivers quality and value through the daily management of the construction process
- Attends daily production meetings and facilitates open communication with construction manager regarding build progress
- Inspects all work completed by trade partners for quality service prior to payment approval
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with trade partners, vendors, and city officials
- Schedules and directs trade partners utilizing the company HB1 software
- Confirms the quality and timely completion of trade partner work prior to submitting payment approval
- Completes thorough inspections throughout the assigned build phase to maintain high company construction standards
- Validates each home site is clean at every stage, every home, with every trade
- Identifies and makes recommendations on processes and system improvements to uphold quality of the finished home
- Utilizes company-provided technology systems efficiently
- Obtains build phase-specific city inspections and holds trade partners accountable to city codes
- Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on build site
- Construction experience preferred but not required
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to learn new software and utilize company HB1 system
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle
- Works outdoors in a non-temperature-controlled environment, with medium to high noise levels
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit in a vehicle
- Occasionally required to climb, lift, pull, and push objects up to 70 pounds
