Responsibilities
- Consistently recruiting excellent staff.
- Improve/create and maintain a smooth onboarding process.
- Training, counseling, and coaching our staff.
- Resolving conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
- Carrying out necessary administrative duties.
- Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
- Creating clear and concise reports.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for HR
- Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
- Handling workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
- Maintaining employee and workplace privacy.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
- Help manage our collection agency licensing process.
- Process weekly Payroll
- Understanding interstate footprint for payroll tax and update - experience with PayChex is a plus since this is our payroll system.
- This is very hands on, and you must be able to multi-task.
- Knowledge of FMLA laws and requirements.
HR Manager Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources management or equivalent.
- Experience in human resources or related field.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
- Experience in educating and coaching staff.
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
- Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
- Ability to give presentations.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of payroll and payroll processing with PayChex.
