Saint John's Resort sits on a beautiful 200-acre campus in Plymouth Michigan; conveniently located between Detroit and Ann Arbor. The services and amenities of the property include: a 118 room AAA Four-Diamond hotel, three award winning restaurants, and luxury golf experience featuring three unique course experiences, anchored by The Cardinal at Saint John's, and over 100,000 square feet of event space.
Position Responsibilities:
- Managing budgets and financial plans and controlling expenditure
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
- Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
- Recruiting, training, and monitoring staff
- Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
- Meeting and greeting customers
- Dealing with customer complaints and comments
- Addressing problems and troubleshooting
- Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly
- Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings
- Dealing with contractors and suppliers
- Ensuring security is effective
- Carrying out inspections of property and services
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
- Leadership and management of Guest Services teams at Hotel Front Desk, Concierge Desk, and Housekeeping
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Rooms Division or Front Office Manager or Executive Housekeeping experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Admin and operational expertise in Opera
- Experience with Actabl technology products; ProfitSword, Hotel Effectiveness, Alice
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Active leader able to demonstrated ability to lead a team through effective coaching and development.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Financial savvy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
