Collegiate Hotel Group®, is seeking an Assistant Guest Service Manager to join Graduate Lincoln and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the “Service Champion” for the Front Office and assists in leading all Front Office operations by setting and maintaining a high level of guest service
- Interacts positively, professionally, and promptly with guests to resolve issues
- Trains Associates and monitors all service levels provided by employees to guests and other fellow Associates.
- Assists the Departmental Manager with interviewing, hiring and onboarding Associates
- Assists the Departmental Manager with the creation of employee schedules in timely manner
- Monitors daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates and packages
- Maintains current list of available rooms for walk situations
- Assists with the coordination of the blocking of rooms for groups
- Communicates hotel's unique design elements for effective storytelling
- Drives Front Desk Upsell Program in order to assist in maximizing hotel revenue
- Solicits employee feedback and utilizes an “open door” policy
- Ensures staff communicates effectively with other hotel departments
- Maintains productive relationship with Valet Parking provider
- Pre-registers guests according to standards
- Monitors and ensures VIP arrivals are executed to highest standard
- Keeps track of rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness for check-in
- Coach, counsel and discipline Associates when necessary, using correct documentation and techniques.
- Works nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 years in Supervisory role in Front Office operations
- High School Diploma/GED, post-high school education preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of hotel Front Office operations
- Basic math/cash handling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
