JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up banquet room as instructed by Banquet Captain or Supervisor to include linen, service ware and glassware.
- Attends meetings before events to learn function particulars, including guest and hotel expectations.
- Serve the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Supervisor to ensure consistency throughout the banquet. Promptly remove dishes as the guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
- Once banquet is complete, reset banquet room according to Supervisor's specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for the following function.
- Maintain a clean, pleasant, and professional image to guests and associates.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
