- POSITION SUMMARY: Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and the hotel premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. Demonstrates a professional, friendly, warm and welcoming demeanor to all guests and employees.
- Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
- Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes. vacuums and polishes floor.
- Dusts and polishes metalwork.
- Collects soiled linen for laundering
- Assists in keeping the lobby area clean, neat and free of debris and trash as needed.
- Receives linen supplies from laundry and stocks the linen cart at the Front Desk.
- Maintains housekeeping storage closet and stocks supplies needed at the front desk.
- Removes trash collected by room attendants.
- Walks all assigned floors at beginning, throughout the day and end of shift to collect trash, soiled linen and other items as assigned by management.
- Puts away new Housekeeping supplies/chemicals to the Laundry or housekeeping storage area.
- Helps the Manager with special cleaning projects as directed.
- Cleans all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures.
- Removes soiled linen and trash from the Fitness Center and other service areas and takes to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner.
- CLEAN GUEST ROOMS AS NEEDED (FOR EXAMPLE- ON SOLD OUT NIGHTS IF FD NEEDS ONE CLEANED)
- Responds at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
- Handles any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed.
- Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standards
- Cleans bathrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors
- Empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash
- Removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtrays
- Delivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
- Minimum of 1 year in Housekeeping role
- Ability to multi-task
