Position Overview
LOGE Glacier is seeking a Line Cook for our LOGE Camps site in Essex, MT.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- With the kitchen team, we prepare menu items from scratch ingredients. Ensure the successful and timely execution of the menu.
- Maintains an understanding of all menu items and ingredients and assists guests with any dietary or preparation questions and suggestions.
- Develops prep and order specifications derived from multiple recipes at an assigned kitchen station.
- Maintains inventory levels and ensures that the kitchen is properly stocked.
- Follows safety and cleanliness standards and protocols for all assigned kitchen stations. Participates in cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of the kitchen.
- Jumps in whenever needed to help the team with standard kitchen duties.
- Have a working knowledge of how to operate and deep clean all kitchen equipment.
- Supports catering efforts for special events and group meetings.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Head Chef.
- A love for showing people a good time, with an understanding for how small details can affect the overall guest dining experience.
- A professional, friendly, low-drama attitude.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a team player mindset.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and to keep on track, even when things get busy.
- A natural knack for keeping things neat and organized, and an eye for detail.
- 1 years' previous culinary team experience.
- Working knowledge of POS software
- Fluent in English. Bilingual a plus!
- Cooking is an active role, involving frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
- Lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Remaining on your feet for extended periods of time.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud (typical of a restaurant setting).
- All employees are subject to a background check.
