Responsibilities
- Receiving Goods: Accept and verify deliveries from suppliers, ensuring the quantity and quality match the purchase orders.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory records and ensure proper storage of received goods – usage of the FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory management system. Make sure all items are labeled and dated in walk-in coolers. Organize the walk-in coolers to maximize efficiency and maintains an organized clean appearance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of received items, including invoices and delivery receipts.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the purchasing department.
- Coordination: Work closely with the purchasing department and other hotel staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Communication: Notify the purchasing department of any discrepancies between delivered items and purchase orders.
- Compliance: Ensure that all goods received comply with the hotel's procedures and policies.
- Invoice Verification: Check incoming invoices for legal compliance and optimize deductions.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in using inventory software and Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage and store received goods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all deliveries are accurate and in good condition.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues with deliveries promptly.
