Description
The Shaw Jewish Community Center offer an array of family entertainment to the surrounding community in aquatics, recreation & wellness, camp programs, fitness, and childcare. We are looking for lifeguards who will oversee the safety of our members and children in our indoor pool. This position must have flexibility with mornings and evenings during the week and weekends, and some holidays since we are a 7 day a week operation.
Our lifeguards are dedicated to the health and safety of our members and guests using the pool and will follow emergency responses within the American Red Cross guidelines. You will enforce all safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and skilled at rescues and administering first aid. Our lifeguards will also inspect the pool areas for maintenance, take chlorine and 'ph' readings and record accurately, maintain cleanliness and ensure proper storage of equipment. Other standard requirements include being attentive at all times while on duty, and maintain accurate records on injuries.

Qualifications
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent is preferred
• Pass a preliminary CPR and life guard swimming skills test
