Description
Schultz Campus for Jewish Life offers an array of family entertainment to the surrounding community in aquatics. We offer private and semi-private swim lessons that are lead by great swim instructors. Our groups are filling up and we need one more swim instructor who will be responsible for ensuring a safe instructional environment for our participants when teaching Red Cross certified swim lessons.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Effectively manage all incidents involving the participants of your class
· Adhere to and enforce all the policies and procedures set forth in the Aquatics Guide
· Do all necessary planning, paperwork inherent to this position
· Be available as needed to discuss participant’s course evaluation
· Be punctual and meet all scheduled class times, fully prepared to teach
· Be an active instructor in class teaching (ex. be in water during LTS classes)

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
· Successful teaching experience
· Must teach one course per certification each session
· Complete all paperwork, lesson plans etc. necessary for successful course completion.
· Appropriately manage class participants and parents
· Proper evaluation of skills to successful complete course to the standards of the ARC
Education/Experience/Certifications:
· Instructors will go through a training and shadowing session.
· American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (preferred & increases pay)
· American Red Cross CPR for the professional rescuer (preferred & increases pay)
· American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (preferred & increases pay)
