Schumacher Automotive Group in North Palm Beach is seeking a receptionist who responds to customer inquiries and plays a key role in maintaining or creating customer loyalty to Schumacher dealerships. The Collision Receptionist will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers and plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members and is always committed to leading by example.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Greets customers at the service area in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Handle incoming calls, schedule service appointments and take messages for the Collision Team in a courteous and timely manner.
- Work with Collision Center Advisors and schedule coordinators as needed.
- Receives payments from customers and issues receipts as applicable.
- Prints receipts for customers, reconcile billing problems, and answer questions related to the cost of services.
- Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Assist customers in completing necessary paperwork, including insurance forms and authorization documents.
- Interpret and articulate costs and fees to customers to ensure a thorough understanding of the amount owed.
Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records accurately. - Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Refers customers who have questions about the work performed, additional questions, or repairs, loaners etc. to the Collision Center advisor(s) or other appropriate individual(s).
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to Collision Center Management and department.
- Other duties or projects as assigned by the Collision Center Management.
Education/Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Proven experience in a customer service-oriented role is preferred.
- Must be computer savvy. Will be using various programs to perform duties.
- Experience handling money and payments in a service cashier role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and friendly demeanor with exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential for this position.
