Do you have a passion for repairing cars? Are you a car enthusiast and follower? We are looking for experienced automotive Volkswagen technicians who may have worked with Volkswagen or German brand repairs to include and not limited to light engine work, transmission, clutches, drive shafts, electrical systems (starters and alternators), HVAC systems, steering & suspension systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Make accurate use of multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
- Document all work performed and recommend on the assigned repair order.
- Communicate with the service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Schumacher University Standards.
- Conduct road tests to determine work needed.
- Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
- Perform all levels of preventive/routine maintenance services.
- Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and Schumacher University/Management.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to continuously expand base knowledge in technology.
- Maintain manufacturer (CSI) customer satisfaction index at or above the service goals.
- Complete work and time-keeping necessary for successful completion of warranty repair orders and filing of warranty claims.
Education/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- ASE certifications are heavily preferred
- Manufacturer certifications are heavily preferred
- 1 years as an Automotive technician required
- 1 years working at a dealership preferred
- 6 months working with Volkswagen or German cars highly preferred
- Must have the essential tools.
- Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area
- Positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- A valid driver's license.
