Job Summary: Drive profitable sales growth of and improve customer satisfaction with GROUP SCHUMACHER’s complete portfolio of products and services across North America. The ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic and a quick learner with proven technical sales skills and solid technical and mechanical aptitude.
GROUP SCHUMACHER is a global manufacturer of cutting, lifting, binding and baling components for the Agriculture Industry, offering our products and services worldwide. Our SCH®, EWM®, Rasspe® and Radura® brands provide customer specific cutting and baling solutions in all of the world’s key agriculture regions. Our North American location in Durant, IA supplies distributors and OEMs with harvesting and baling solutions, products and parts, including disc mower blades, sickles, sections, guards, knotters, and more.
As the Aftermarket Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for sales growth and market share improvement of Schumacher’s complete product portfolio in the North American aftermarket, selling to and through distributor channels and providing needed ongoing technical product support. You will build relationships with both existing and new Aftermarket customers and support their sales of our products to end-users. You work well in a fast-paced, customer service focused environment and enjoy contributing to a growing company.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Aggressively drive profitable growth of GROUP SCHUMACHER’s North American business by identifying sales opportunities within existing customers and with potential new customers. Plan, develop and execute sales strategies to achieve short and long-term business growth.
- Develop and support Schumacher’s distribution network; interact with existing and prospective customers to establish relationships to understand their needs and grow Schumacher’s business through them.
- Train and work directly with distributor / dealer sales people to increase their ability to sell all Schumacher products. Demonstrate and explain the features, function and benefits of our products and solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key buying decision makers including but not limited to distributor principals, distributor and dealer sales reps and buyers.
- Stay informed and knowledgeable on all Schumacher products and services and act as a key contact for technical issues and customers’ technical questions on all Group Schumacher products and systems.
- Travel up to 60% to execute planned customer visits, attend farm shows, or participate in company events. Proactively seek new sales opportunities throughout the year.
- Gather, assimilate and analyze historic sales performance to support sales forecasting and planning.
- Gather, assimilate and analyze market and competitive product and pricing information.
- Collaborate with and support the Group Schumacher North America team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist Director, North American Business Development with additional tasks, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or technical degree preferred, but not required
- Five years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Account management.
- Background in the Agriculture Industry with farming experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).
- Works effectively both as an individual contributor and as a team member, and proven ability to develop and maintain relationships.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and results orientation.
- Solid computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Willingness to travel and live/work in a rural environment.
- Able to pass standard background check on driving record and other recordable offenses.

Pay: $64,000.00 per year
