Summary : Drive the successful execution of significant and strategic customer projects, from the identification of an opportunity to its successful implementation at the customer's site. The project engineer is deeply customer-focused and driven to understand and build the collective SCHUNK expertise of the unique challenges specific to industry and application processes. They are not just problem solvers, but problem definers, and are especially skilled at resolving complex issues with ambiguous problem definitions.
Responsibilities :
- Take an active role in defining complex problems in collaboration with customers, analyzing challenges, and formulating effective solutions.
- Develop and present project proposals, budgets, and timelines to customers, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and constraints.
- Lead the execution of complex, strategic customer projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
- Collaborate internally with cross-departmental stakeholders to allocate appropriate resources, coordinating shifting priorities with impacted parties.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by managing expectations, providing regular updates, and addressing concerns proactively.
- Manage project risks, identifying potential challenges and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Actively engage in research and direct interactions with customers to gather detailed knowledge about their industry-specific processes, workflows, and technical requirements.
- Collect feedback from customer interactions, site visits, and project implementations to identify key insights and best practices specific to different industries.
- Disseminate industry knowledge internally, sharing insights and best practices with cross-functional teams to elevate organizational expertise.
- Help other teams such as sales and marketing, understand and apply industry-specific process knowledge to enhance product positioning and customer solutions.
- Continuously improve project processes, cost efficiencies, and customer outcomes.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, identifying and acting on priorities.
- Participate in SCHUNK special projects when requested.
- Travel up to 20%.
Requirements : Qualifications :
Proficiency with MS Office tools, especially excel and powerpoint.
