Primary Purpose of Automation Technical Sales Support - Robotics
The Technical Support position is an entry level position responsible for supporting the sale process of our robotic tooling and industrial automation product line through communication with our customers and other partners in the manufacturing space. This responsibility includes technical support before, during, and after the sales process with a focus on how to apply and use our SCHUNK products, as well as quoting appropriate products that align with customer requests. The candidate will interact with inter-company departments and customers frequently to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
What You Will do as an Automation Technical Sales Support team member:
- Review customer specifications, requests for quote, drawings, and other customer documents to develop and prepare quotes for customers.
- Provide technical service to customers relating to use, operation, selection, and maintenance of SCHUNK products.
- Enter and follow up on sales orders and quotes to customers using our CRM and ERP applications.
- Provide technical training and presentations to key customers and representatives.
- Work across product teams, Toolholding, Workholding and Automation Components, the production shop, and the sales and marketing staff – on special projects, trade shows, and internal events.
- Monitor design and production schedules that meet customer and SCHUNK business requirements, coordinating design, production, and delivery with appropriate SCHUNK teams and facilities.
- Track sales order progress to ensure product delivery and customer satisfaction, requesting adjustments to production and/or delivery schedule when required to meet customer and SCHUNK business requirements.
