SUMMARY
Coordinates daily transportation functions with Transportation Manager, Drivers, Maintenance, and Account Managers. Responsible for the daily routing of all company and contract drivers to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Provide a high level of customer service to all customers, both external and internal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create daily routing schedule for all drivers.
- Assist in Customer Service functions.
- Tracks and communicates transportation assets in partnership with Transportation Manager and Maintenance department.
- Perform driver ride-alongs with transportation coworkers as needed
- Track equipment order requests from Sales Manager; coordinate deliveries with Maintenance.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance with Maintenance Department.
- Review driver logs daily.
- Assist in the tracking of KPI goals and offer ongoing recommendations for improvements.
- Problem solve in group-settings and demonstrate emotional intelligence when dealing with emotional topics and remain open to others' ideas.
- Respond to coworkers' and customers' complaints with respect and consideration.
- Must be able to routinely work independently and adapt to frequent delays and unexpected events.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines, daily tasks, and projects are completed on time.
- Must be able to interact in person with coworkers and the public.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in dispatching/ routing equipment
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Internet, spreadsheet and word processing software and other transportation related software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently lift, move, or position materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to outdoor climate
- Remain in a seated position for 65% of the scheduled shift.
- Frequently operates controls to position, load, and unload the truck.
- Routinely performs repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, reaching and lifting.
