Description and Responsibilities
My client is seeking a Maintenance Manager for their 500K Sq Ft distribution center. This building is a traditional pick-pack facility with a lot of racking, conveyor, and lifts. There will roughly be 20 associates in the DC’s facilities and maintenance department over two shifts. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Leading a team of roughly 20 associates in the maintenance and housekeeping department.
- Being responsible for training, developing, mentoring, guiding associates.
- Planning and managing labor and production hours for the department.
- Using the CMMS to produce work orders and to implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Leading efforts to maintain the building and grounds for the distribution center.
- Promoting a safety-first culture.
- Working with outside electrical and mechanical contractors to perform work that cannot be done in house.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess most of the following traits:
- 3 years of experience leading a team of maintenance associates in a distribution and/or fulfillment center, or manufacturing plant.
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree.
- A demonstrated history of maintaining uptime for a fleet of lift trucks and other equipment.
- A solid history of developing other leaders to a promotional level.
- Working knowledge of systems such as WMS, CMMS, and Microsoft applications.
