Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Manager who will perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs for various replacement parts in order to excel in the role. Candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, keeping parts well-stocked, clean, and orderly, to ensure efficient flow of parts and materials. Must have strong communication/organization skills and knowledge on the design and purpose of heavy truck parts. Must have previous experience. Pay based off experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee sourcing and purchasing of parts.
- Maintaining and monitoring steady inventory parts
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including inventory counts and orders placed.
- Receiving work orders and part invoices into the inventory system
- Working with a service writer to precisely bill all parts.
- Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them
- Collaborating with technicians to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs
- Strong customer service skills when working with the general public
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mathematical skills to help manage the inventory, pricing and estimates
- Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues
- Preferred previous mechanic or car sales experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment
- Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of parts.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Parts Manager or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, automotive repair, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Strong skills in data entry, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse practices.
Candidates should possess a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
