Global Packaging Container Company is looking for a Production Planner for our plant located in Kenosha WI
Summary
As a Production Planner/Scheduler, you will be essential in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring efficient production flow. Reporting to the Plant Manager, your core skills in production planning and supply chain analytics will drive effective inventory management and scheduling. Your premium expertise in SAP and ERP systems will enhance operational efficiency, while your relevant skills in quality control and continuous improvement will contribute to maintaining high standards. Job Duties:
- Responsible for maintaining all Hydra software users (training will be provide it)
- Conduct quarterly and yearly inventory of finished goods and materials to ensure 100% accuracy
- Proactively prepare for future or unexpected customer order needs based on sales forecasts and past order history and instructing Production Planners on preparing production schedules accordingly
- Prepare production reports through Hydra
- Actively communicate with internal departments in the company to make sure the plant meets shipping deadlines
- Communicate the status of production to all applicable departments including, but not limited to Management, Sales, Customer Service and Shipping
- Work extensively with the SAP system to constantly account for inventory and constantly update production capacity
Qualifications
- Strong background in manufacturing and production planning
- Proficiency in SAP and ERP systems for effective inventory management
- Experience with supply chain analytics and quality control processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with plant management and operations management practices
- Ability to implement process improvements and manage assembly operations
