Job Summary
The Charge Nurse plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care within a clinical or hospital setting. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, and serving as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers. The Charge Nurse is responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient environment while promoting best practices in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessments and clinical guidelines.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of medical records and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology and geriatrics to effectively manage the care of diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency in handling medical records with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Experience in various clinical settings, including clinics, hospitals, PICU, or OR environments.
• Demonstrated ability in administering injections safely and effectively.
• Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy, communication, and advocacy.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
