Activities Director

We are looking for a self motivated indivual to head our Activities Department. Hour will be 40 a week. mostly Monday-Friday 8am to 430 pm, but may vary depending on the activity scheduled. May be occasional weekend.

Job Summary
The Activities Director plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by coordinating and overseeing recreational programs and events within the senior living community.

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement a diverse range of activities to cater to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents
- Develop and manage a monthly activities calendar that includes social events, outings, and educational programs
- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that promote residents' independence and engagement
- Coordinate special events such as holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and themed gatherings
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to assess program effectiveness
- Ensure activities comply with safety regulations and enhance the overall resident experience

Requirements
- Experience in caregiving or working with seniors in long-term care settings
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
- Familiarity with activities tailored to seniors' interests and abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and staff
- Proficiency in event planning and execution within a nursing home or assisted living environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
