We are hiring a Refrigeration Supervisor in our Salina KS. location. This position is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the refrigeration department to optimize performance regarding safety, productivity and quality. This position is also responsible for supporting compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP).
Responsibilities
The base salary range for this position is 66,375,500 to $110,625 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

We are hiring a Refrigeration Supervisor in our Salina KS. location. This position is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the refrigeration department to optimize performance regarding safety, productivity and quality. This position is also responsible for supporting compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP).
Responsibilities
- Supervise and troubleshoot the repair of ammonia refrigeration equipment, including compressors, valves, pumps, and other related machinery.
- Oversee maintenance and preventive maintenance of production machinery and building systems, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with EPA's Risk Management Program, including Process Safety Management, Hazard Assessments, and Emergency Response.
- Coordinate with external service agencies for timely and effective refrigeration repairs and work order completion.
- Perform regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and chemical testing to maintain refrigeration and utility systems within established limits.
- Interface with state and federal agencies and ensure adherence to safety programs and ammonia safety equipment standards.
- Supervise, train, and develop staff, while diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in refrigeration and related systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience; Ammonia Refrigeration experience required.
- Must have knowledge and skills in the technologies of general construction, electrical systems, electronic systems, microprocessors, mechanical systems (e.g., production/process, refrigeration, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, and pneumatics), and computerized maintenance management systems.
- Working knowledge of food plant production and processing equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety, knowledge of PSM & OSHA safety regulations, EPA regulations, USDA and sanitation standards preferred.
- May be required to be clean shaven if trained in the use of and required to use a respirator.
- Must be capable and willing to work any shift and be on 24-hour call for emergency situations as necessary.
