We are hiring a Quality Engineer in Stilwell OK . This position is responsible for providing technical and applied expertise and leadership in the areas of food science, food regulations, statistics, problem solving, and continuous improvement projects to meet consumer and regulatory expectations. The incumbent has daily executional responsibilities, project management duties, and supervisory accountabilities to ensure proper food safety and product consistency.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and ensure accurate testing procedures, establish systematic sampling, and provide technical expertise in troubleshooting quality and food safety issues.
• Work with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and PI&D to resolve in-house quality issues, review non-conforming products, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and facilitate employee training on HACCP, GMPs, food regulations, and quality systems to ensure proper execution and documentation.
• Monitor raw ingredient programs, including product rotation, sampling, and testing to ensure conformance to specifications and report data to management.
• Follow up with suppliers and buyers to ensure corrective actions are taken and monitor compliance with finished product specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools like SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma to enhance food safety, quality, and product consistency.
• Lead and support improvement projects, report trends and quality issues to leadership, and ensure adherence to company values, ethics, and standards of conduct.

Compensation and Benefits :

The base salary range for this position is $66,375 to $110,625 annually with eligibility for a 10% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to education, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent. Masters degree preferred.

Years of Related Experience : 3 years related experience (Quality Engineering with Six Sigma Green Belt experiencepreferred)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Sound mathematical and basic food science understanding; Good knowledge of statisticsand statistical process control (SPC); Understanding of the manufacturing environment and basic production operation; Strong computer skills and ability to learn technical software. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programswith strong Excel skills; The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with demonstratedinfluence management skills. Comfortable in small group and large group settings; Must be detail oriented, takeinitiative and able to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment; Ability to solve problems rangingfrom basic to complex; Strong project management skills; Understanding of food safety, HACCP and basic foodregulatory requirements; Proven people management and delegation skills; Ability to develop positiverelationships and work cross functionally
