We are hiring a Plant Financial Controller to support our ethnic food manufacturing facility in Columbus, OH location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining proper financial control / reporting systems to ensure that plants assets are utilized and managed in the most cost effective and profitable manner to maximize return on investment for the company. The Plant Controller is a key player in the plant management team providing key analysis and insights to guide decision making as well as taking a leadership role in challenging the plant to improve financial performance.
Responsibilities :
- Establishes monthly and annual plant budget financial goals and proactively provides financial direction to local plant leadership and plant teams to lead financially to achieve those goals.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of plant accounting systems and records and improve plant accounting and performance reporting systems to identify variances and take timely corrective action.
- Conduct financial evaluations of all new capital expenditure proposals.
- Provide financial information and collaborate with relevant team on new product, new business, and plant continuous improvement initiatives.
- Key focus areas include materials cost management, labor cost and utilization, asset utilization, overhead expenditure control, and maintenance effectiveness.

Compensation and Benefits :
The base salary range for this position is $81,750 to $136,250 annually with eligibility for a 15% annual incentive bonus, that is based on organizational performance. The pay range represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to educations, skills, work experience, certifications, geography etc. As such, starting pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Education : Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Years of Related Experience : Typically has a minimum of 5 to 8 years related experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities : Intermediate proficiency in the use of a personal computer including Windows and theMicrosoft Office Suite; numeric analytic techniques; proficiency in the use of integrated MRP accounting andreporting systems; advanced analytical skills & tools (e.g., SAP BW). Advance ability to detect trends.Intermediate skills in the development of financial ratios and comparative analysis. A thorough understanding ofgeneral accounting principles and accepted standards. The ability to meet project deadlines. The ability toprioritize tasks. The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The ability to effectively presentfinancial data to a variety of audiences. The ability to work effectively and cooperatively within teams. Leadershipattributes, self motivated, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to makerecommendations and influence targeted audience. Ability to successfully leverage internal and external resources.Effective communication skills. Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information. Knowledge of LeanManufacturing / Six Sigma a plus. Preferred exposure to manufacturing accounting including standard costing and fullvariance analysis reporting. CPA, CMA or CIA Preferred.
