Job Title : Corporate Accountant
Salary Range : $70,000 - $90,000 a year
Type : Full-Time, Exempt
Location : Denver, Colorado
Position Objective
The primary objective for the Corporate Accountant will be to perform timely and accurate journal entries, analytics, and bank and account reconciliations to support monthly close and financial reporting.
Essential Functions
- Preparation and review of accurate and timely general ledger account reconciliations and the posting of the resulting journal entries.
- Monitor monthly and identify, research, and reconcile account variances by conducting a detailed analysis with a focus on process improvement.
- Maintain the overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger records and reconciliations.
- Support the month-end accounting close process, including bank reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, reporting deadlines, and transactions are performed within a sound internal control environment.
- Prepare and review schedules for internal / external auditors in connection with reviews / audits.
- Help to create value add financial reporting documents to support management level decision making.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships by working cross-functionally with other disciplines throughout the company providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
