Job Summary: Traveling Mohs Licensed Practical Nurse
We are seeking a licensed practical nurse to travel between our Amherst, Rochester, and Jamestown offices.
The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare experience, preferably in dermatology, surgery, or EMR software.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rooms for patients, organize supplies, and assist in procedures
- Assist physicians in Mohs surgery, medical, cosmetic, allergy, and laser procedures
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines
- Anticipate provider next steps and maintain a professional atmosphere
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
- Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments
- Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
Requirements
- Traveling between offices is required
- Practical Nursing Certificate
- Healthcare experience required, dermatology experience preferred
- Surgical experience preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
- Open availability to work weekdays and weekends
- Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance
Hourly Pay Range
$26-$28 USD
