Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Traveling Mohs LPN. This role will involve traveling between our Amherst, Rochester, and Jamestown offices to assist in different procedures and provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have previous healthcare experience, preferably in dermatology, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Prepare rooms for patients and organize products/supplies
- Assist in Mohs surgery, medical, cosmetic, allergy, and/or laser procedures
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization, and procedures within established guidelines
- Anticipate provider's next steps and understand patient flow
- Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
Requirements
- Practical Nursing Certificate
- Healthcare experience required, preferably in dermatology
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Surgical experience preferred
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent patient relation and customer service skills
