Department : Group Sales
Reports To : Vice President, Food & Beverage
Summary :
The Group Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to attract and secure group business for Schweitzer. This includes cultivating relationships with tour operators, meeting planners, corporations, associations, and other organizations to generate revenue through group bookings for lodging, lift tickets, lessons, rentals, dining, and other resort amenities. This role requires a driven, results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for the ski industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Proactively identify and solicit new group business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and online research.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at tour operators, meeting planners, corporations, associations, and other potential group clients.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing campaigns to attract group business.
Develop annual strategic plan for each market segment (SMERF, corporate, weddings) by region.
Work closely with other departments within the resort (e.g., lodging, food & beverage, ski school) to ensure smooth execution of group events and bookings.
