Schweitzer is excited to be opening this holiday season 2022 brand-NEW Cambium Spa. The program design will focus on the concepts of rev up, reboot, and tune in. With 4 treatment rooms, 4 foot soak reflexology stations, a consult room, sound lounge, and two HaloIR booths, we are positioned to offer a unique experience to our region. These therapeutic and wellness services strengthen the body from injuries and physical pain in every part of the body as well as relaxing massage to soothe your mind.

Winter 2022-23 Schweitzer Massage employees will be considered for employment at Cambium Spa when complete. However, you will have to go through the supplication process as Cambium is a new business. Qualifications
JOB TITLE/DEPARTMENT: Massage Therapist
POSITION TYPE: Year-round, and Seasonal includes weekends and holidays
WAGE RANGE: $35-45/ hour ($14-16/ hour plus commission on services and tips)
SUPERVISORY: No
SUPERVISED BY: Spa Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for administering professional massage and body treatment services for Schweitzer guests. Will also work in the spa office to greet guests, answer phone calls, assist guests with questions regarding spa services and book appointments.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be available weekends and holidays, flexible schedule to meet the needs of our Guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Will contribute to the overall vision, direction and implementation of the Schweitzer Spa and its programs by performing the following:

- Provide treatments in the spa to guests as well as in room treatments to Schweitzer hotel guests.
- Obtain basic medical history for clients and assess any problems/ conditions to administer the appropriate treatments.
- Gauge the condition of the clients soft tissues, joint function, range of motion and muscle strength. Apply appropriate treatments.
- Educate clients on how to improve their posture, strength, flexibility, relaxation, and other pertinent areas of interest
- Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.
- Assist with washing and folding of all linens used in treatment rooms.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spas policies and procedures.
- Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
- Greet guests, answer phone calls, assist guests with questions regarding spa services.
- Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments, charge for services applied. Financially accountable for sales and billing functions of the spa.
- May assist with other programs associated with the spa (i.e. yoga, meditation, breathe workshops)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Responsible for up to 8 hours of combined massaging/ standing/ desk activity. Ability to 10 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds rarely. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, balance, feel and reach above shoulder level occasionally to frequently. Hearing, speech, sight, walking, use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, are required. 100% inside and some potential outside worksites, exposed to all moisture levels and temperature changes. Hazards are ice and snow, wind and possible heat.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities and possess a general understanding of various body treatments. Provide top-rated massage services customized to client needs to build a thriving repeat and referral business base with a booked-to-capacity schedule with guests and area locals. Belief in the healing power of bodywork, massage, and self-care. Promote the health and wellness benefits of receiving massage on a regular basis to clients. A program of continuous improvement in skills and personal development. Excellent people/relationship building skills. Detailed, accurate, organized. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Computer skills with Microsoft Office required. Winter Sports enthusiast and knowledge of mountain environment preferred.
ATTRIBUTES: Positive attitude, teachable and interest in massage and the healing process, patient, confident, has initiative, and enjoys inside work. Prior Spa experience a bonus!
EDUCATION: Must have certification from recognized massage school, high school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:1 year massage experience preferred, customer service experience preferred, knowledge of professional spa services and treatments, resort experience preferred.
LICENSE: Must hold and maintain a current Idaho State Massage license, CPR and first aid training preferred, subject to background check and motor vehicle records check
UNIFORM: Will provide own clothes to meet resort dress standards.

Jewelry must be kept to a minimum. Jewelry in visible piercings is limited to:
In the facial area (eyebrow or side nostril) which is either a stud or a ring no larger than inch. No rings in noses, pleasestuds are acceptable.
Only studs or rings smaller than inch can be used on the upper ear. Large hoops or gauges on the lower ear may present a safety issue.
If you have piercings in your mouth/lips/cheeks etc. you will be asked to use a clear nylon stud or other low-visibility item while you are on-duty.
- Tattoos: At no time can tattoos that may offend guests or co-workers be visible.
- Cosmetics and perfume/cologne should be kept to a minimum
- Hair should be worn so as not to cover eyes or facial features. Facial hair must be kept clean. Please do not start a new beard during the season. Good personal hygiene should be practiced.
