REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position:

This position’s primary focus is managing safe, optimal and environmentally sound operations and maintenance activities for multiple Renewable Natural Gas Facilities across the U.S. The candidate will interface with project stakeholders, and execution & engineering teams to ensure optimal plant operations and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operational oversight of multiple RNG Project facilities
• Coordinate plant operations, maintenance activities, staffing, safety, compliance, for assigned facilities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient RNG processing.
• Provide oversight to maintain environmental and safety compliance within Company policies, local, State and Federal codes, rules, and regulations. Follow and enforce procedures outlined in the VRNG Safety and Environmental Programs and ensure onsite contractor compliance.
• Regularly visit and inspect plant operating conditions, ensuring proactive and timely implementation of required actions.
• Optimize plant maintenance to minimize downtime by proactively troubleshooting maintenance activities. In the event of unplanned downtime, determine whether other maintenance activity can be completed to avoid future unplanned/planned downtime.
• Detect and analyze malfunctions in plant operating equipment and take the necessary steps for adjustment.
• Work with Plant Operators to forecast production and coordinate maintenance, repair, replacement stock, and inventory of interchangeable plant parts and equipment.
• Work with Operators to develop planned outage events that are safe and efficient.
• Communicate clearly and concisely.

Requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience in landfill gas processing, oil-gas-refining, chemicals, or industrial gases.
• 2-5 years operational experience.
• Ability to network effectively across the VRNG organization to access relevant data and knowledge.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must have excellent safety and environmental compliance leadership skills, including understanding of risk assessments, PHAs, and permits.
• Ability to work in the field at project sites and adapt to various working conditions.
• Pass a drug screen and maintain a valid US driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Highly motivated, ability to work independently.
• Self-directed; take initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes.
• Frequent travel required within the US. (75%)
• High school diploma or equivalency, technical college degree or vocational training desired.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Appropriate and professional oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, including effective management of multiple priorities & strong organizational skills.
