Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health Science Teacher to join our high school teaching team for the 2025/26 School Year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about educating young minds on the principles of health science, including human anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and public health. This role involves developing and delivering engaging lesson plans, assessing student performance, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive health science curriculum in line with state and school standards. Update course materials as needed to reflect the latest scientific knowledge and educational methodologies.
Instructional Duties: Teach health science classes to students in grades 9-12, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to cater to different learning styles.
Assessment and Evaluation: Create and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress. Provide constructive feedback and work with students to set goals for improvement.
Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment. Implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation.
Collaboration: Work closely with other faculty members, school administrators, and parents to support student success. Participate in department meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
Professional Development: Stay current with developments in health science education and teaching methodologies through ongoing professional development and educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Education, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of health science topics and teaching methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students.
Proficiency in using educational technology and classroom management software.
