Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the realization of hardware products by supporting design, analysis, procurement, assembly/integration, testing, and final delivery.
• Perform detailed analyses in areas such as structural, thermal, fluid, modal, shock, and vibration to guide design decisions.
• Research cutting-edge technology and applications to ensure optimal design solutions.
• Develop and document mechanical system requirements to support system design and project goals.
• Support internal and external technical program design reviews.
• Generate and review technical drawings to confirm designs meet form, fit, and function requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to accurately track engineering hours and project timelines.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, etc.).

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 5 years of engineering experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and its associated PDM environment.
• Experience with ANSYS Mechanical analysis software.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 drafting standards and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience with configuration management and product data management (PDM) tools.
• Knowledge of fabrication methods for prototype realization, including machine tools, welding, and surface treatments.
• Experience designing vacuum systems, pulsed power systems, or directed energy technologies.
• Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Master s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred).

Additional Requirements:

• Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Ability to obtain or maintain an active security clearance.
