Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the realization of hardware products by supporting design, analysis, procurement, assembly/integration, testing, and final delivery.
- Perform detailed analyses in areas such as structural, thermal, fluid, modal, shock, and vibration to guide design decisions.
- Research cutting-edge technology and applications to ensure optimal design solutions.
- Develop and document mechanical system requirements to support system design and project goals.
- Support internal and external technical program design reviews.
- Generate and review technical drawings to confirm designs meet form, fit, and function requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to accurately track engineering hours and project timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering role.
- Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, etc.).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and its associated PDM environment.
- Experience with ANSYS Mechanical analysis software.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 drafting standards and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with configuration management and product data management (PDM) tools.
- Knowledge of fabrication methods for prototype realization, including machine tools, welding, and surface treatments.
- Experience designing vacuum systems, pulsed power systems, or directed energy technologies.
- Excellent multitasking skills and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Master s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (preferred).
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Ability to obtain or maintain an active security clearance.
