Science Explorers is seeking energetic, positive people to be part-time instructors for our after-school science clubs. The age range of the children will range between 1st through 5th graders. This is a wonderful opportunity for any person who enjoys working with children. We pay $25.00 per lesson assisted. The main instructor will do all the prep. Assistants are there to help the children and be an extra set of hands. Our club program is developed for elementary-aged children with a focus towards hands-on STEM learning and fun.
You don’t have to be an expert in the field of science to teach our clubs! The curriculum, supplies and training are provided. Previous experience teaching or working with children preferred.
Our club in the Solebury area runs on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:30. You will need to arrive 10-15 minutes early for setting up, and there is also some cleanup time after the club is over. All new Instructors will be required to complete a training before their start date.
- This is an independent contractor position**
- You MUST be available during afternoon hours**
- Some teaching/instructing/tutoring experience is required**
- Typically, our program runs from mid-September to early June**
- Up-to-date clearances are required**
