What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performer - Children's Science Programs position at Science Heroes?
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic performer and/or educator to join our team of Science Heroes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating children and inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers in their community.
Eligible applicants will be contacted to submit a video audition of themselves performing a brief excerpt of our show script.
Responsibilities
- Learn our show and science experiments
-Drive yourself to customer locations (schools, libraries, camps, etc.) up to 100 miles away
-Perform our interactive 45 minute show for children and their families
-Chat with families and promote the company
-Restock your supplies and manage your inventory
-Submit invoices/receipts
Requirements
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Experience performing and/or teaching
- Ability to connect with and entertain large groups of children
- Willingness to work independently
- Have a reliable car, and valid driver's license/insurance
- Willing to drive up to 100 miles
- Love traveling to new places and meeting new people
- Follow a script and strict safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills
Compensation
- Paid training
- $100 per 45-minute performance
- "Per-mile" travel stipend
