Job Description :
STC is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to support the satellite Mission Management processes for the NESDIS Office of Common Services (OCS). Mission Managers work with NOAA Program Offices, external stakeholders, mission partners, and end users to plan and align activities for each satellite mission they manage, ensuring the successful integration of satellite mission data into the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF).
Key Responsibilities :
Collect and manage stakeholder needs and priorities to include facilitating regular updates and communication, aligning activities with government leads and partners to meet mission timelines.Ensure accurate requirements for products and flow into the NCCF for each individual satellite mission providing data.Develop and manage detailed schedules for mission activities and OCS responsibilities for satellite missions flowing into the NCCF, ensuring alignment with Program Office milestones.Provide systems engineering expertise to support the development of technical task agreements (TTAs) to secure funding for mission tasks. This includes coordination with functional organizations to obtain cost estimates and alignment with task scope.Track and report on funded activities, providing updates at monthly status reviews and program mission reviews.Design and utilize standardized reporting templates to create comprehensive monthly reports.Provide inputs into the technical solution architecture while ensuring business needs and user requirements are aligned.Oversee technical execution, process implementation, and integration cycles as appropriateInterface with mission partners and end users to determine required core services and capabilities needed to integrate and implement mission specificationsBenefits :

Expert understanding of systems engineering and project management principles, best practices, and tools.NOAA / NASA background, with advanced knowledge of environmental products development and processing.Previous exposure to cloud computing and data storage solutionsProficiency in agile methodology and project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS ProjectExceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Education :
